John Richard Deacon was born on Sunday, August 19, 1951 to Lillian Molly and Arthur Henry Deacon. John was always the shy and silent type even when he was very young. His passion is electronic stuff and of cuorse music. At the young age of seven, John's parents bought him his first guitar. When he was eleven he tried to earn some money for a better guitar. In 1969 John went to London where he studied electronics at Chelsea College, which is part of the University of London. He did not take part in the music scene at school, but of course brought along his old acoustic guitar just in case an opportunity came up. In 1971 a friend of introduced John to a new group called Queen. Queen quickly arranged an audition for John and they thought he was a great player. A few days later, John Richard Deacon became the fourth and final member of Queen. John has now officially retired from the music business but does endorse the new tour, but did not wish to be part of it. John also checks-up with the Queen fan clubs to keep in touch with the fans. |
